Former Village Hall - 440 East Hawley Street

The Village of Mundelein is seeking proposals from qualified applicants for a unique opportunity to redevelop the former Mundelein Village Hall (circa 1929) and property located at 440 E. Hawley Street. The Village is seeking creative proposals to transform this property into a dynamic asset for the Downtown.

The Village of Mundelein is seeking proposals to redevelop the former Village Hall property, consisting of a vacant 8,500 square foot office building, and the 32,816 square foot lot on which it is situated.

Applicants are encouraged to pursue opportunities for partnerships with adjoining property owners, if doing so creates a more economically feasible project. A variety of economic incentives are available from the Village to enhance the project. The amount and type of incentives allocated by the Village will be dependent on the scope and creativity of the proposed project.This process is intended to identify an applicant with the best qualifications, design concepts and economic plans for the site that is acceptable to the Village.

The Village reserves the right to reject all proposals, and to negotiate with any bidder to obtain an agreement that is in the best interests of the parties.
