Mundelein Police Department Warns Residents about Upcoming MAP Phone Solicitation Campaign

In the coming weeks, the Mundelein Police Department has learned that the Metropolitan Alliance of Police (MAP) will be conducting their annual MAP Phone Solicitation Drive. To this end, the Mundelein Police Department reminds Mundelein residents that the MPD will NOT call to solicit donations for ANY reason.

While MAP is a legitimate organization that represents Mundelein police officers for collective bargaining, a donation to MAP does not directly benefit the Mundelein Police Department in any way.

In the past, the Village of Mundelein and the MPD have received numerous complaints from residents during the annual MAP phone solicitation drive. This year, we are taking a proactive approach to the MAP phone solicitation initiative.

Please Note: If you have questions about the statements that MAP is making and/or are concerned that MAP is misrepresenting their efforts, feel free to contact MAP directly at 630-759-4925 or if you wish to file a formal complaint about their solicitation tactics, please follow the process you would follow for any other complaint about solicitation, please call the Mundelein Police Department’s non-emergency number at 847-968-4600.
