Mundelein Police and Fire Personnel Ready to Assist in Cold Emergencies

With sub-freezing temperatures predicted for the next several days, the Village of Mundelein reminds residents that the Police Department and the Fire Department are available to lend assistance to those in need.

In the event that a resident is experiencing a cold emergency, both Fire Department EMS and Police Department personnel will be dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they will assess the situation and provide assistance. This assistance may include transportation to an authorized medical facility, transportation to the Police or Fire Department facilities for short-duration warming.

If additional warming facilities are needed, Mundelein may request assistance from other community organizations including: American Red Cross, Mundelein CERT, Mundelein High School, Mundelein Park District, religious organizations, and the like.

Please watch out for your neighbors and we are here to help!
