Mundelein Fitness Company to Host Four-Week Community-Wide Fitness Challenge

Game Changing Performance-a Mundelein-based health and fitness company—is hosting a community-wide exercise and nutrition-based transformation contest beginning April 22. Mundelein and Lake County residents are invited to take part in this challenge to change their lives and cut inches. The cost for the four-week program is $99. As an added incentive to reach their fitness goals, Transformation Challenge participants who lose 17 lbs. will get their money/investment back.

During the transformation contest, Game Changing Performance trainers will combine metabolic training with targeted improvements in nutrition to help participants lose as much weight as they can in a healthy manner.

“We host transformation challenges at various times throughout the year because the challenges are effective in helping our clients attain their desired results. Participants are always fully committed to the program and they understand that there is a start date and an end date,” explains Nathan Johnson, trainer and co-owner of Game Changing Performance-Mundelein.

During a typical four-week challenge, participants who are somewhat active will increase their physical activity levels. On average, 2 out 3 adults will quit an exercise program. “This is why Game Changing Performance implements an accountability program to motivate and inspire their clients to keep working toward their goals,” Johnson said.

In this year alone, the transformation challenge participants collectively lost more than 350 lbs. by following a healthy nutrition plan and by participating in 3 small group training workouts per week.
“The challenges are a great way to help people to jumpstart a more active and healthy lifestyle.

We all know the importance of exercise and the role in plays in improving our health, knowing isn’t the issue. It is having someone reach out to you when you need a helping hand or encouraging word to help you get through your next workout that makes our Transformation Challenges especially successful” Johnson continued.

According to Johnson, regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health. At the end of the day, exercise will also help with improving your confidence, feeling less frustrated in your clothes, and our overall perception of ourselves improves.

Dorothy, a participant from a recent challenge stated, “When I first started the transformation contest I was most nervous about the nutrition portion. I was very afraid that I wouldn’t be able to consistently eat healthier or that I would be extremely bored making the same foods over and over again and completely fall off the wagon. My accountability coach helped me so much along the way. I was constantly emailing with questions and issues, they were a huge support throughout the program. I know I would not have been as successful if it wasn’t their encouragement. It really feels more like a family than a typical gym.”
