Mundelein’s Patterson Glassworks Hosting “Create Your Own Glass Egg” Open House

Just in time for Easter, Peter Patterson Glassworks in Mundelein is pleased to announce its Annual Make Your Own Spring Eggs glassblowing event. The public is invited to visit the studio and create their custom glass egg April 5-7 or April 12-14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all Open House days. The cost is $35 per egg. Location: Patterson Glass, 888 Tower Road, Unit E, Mundelein.

Each participant will be able to pick their own colors and swirl the colors to make beautiful designs. There are 2 sizes to choose from, small and large. Experience the fun and excitement of working with hot glass and create your own masterpiece.

Please Note—this is an open house, no reservations, first-come, first-served. Age limit is 10+ and must be dresses according to our dress code: pants: Long cotton pants (blue jeans with no holes) no shorts, skirts, Capri, no nylon). Socks that cover the ankle. Shoes that are closed toe (gym shoes) no boots, slippers, clogs, crocks, sandals, Shirts: Long or short sleeve COTTON shirt…no fleece, nylon, synthetic fabrics.

This is a popular event so arrive early. The custom glass items can be picked up a few days later, after the glass cools down. Experience the fun of watching and creating your very own masterpiece in hot glass. This is an exciting opportunity for all participants! Age limit is 10 years and older.
