MHS Coach,Teacher to be Inducted into Sports Hall of Fame

Mundelein High School coach and teacher, Todd Parola, will be inducted into the Lake County High School Sports Hall of Fame at a ceremony to be held on Thursday, Feb. 1 at the College of Lake County. He is being recognized for both his athletic career at Grayslake Central High School and for his experience as a coach at Mundelein High School.

The official ceremony will take place during halftime of the CLC Boys Basketball game against Elgin Community College beginning at 7:15 p.m. A reception for family and friends before the ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. in a room off the main gym. The meet and greet will continue until the ceremony at halftime.

While at MHS Parola was best known for his coaching of successful baseball and golf teams and he coached a number of other sports during his career. Parola resigned from baseball last summer after two consecutive State appearances. Coach Parola continues to serve as the head coach for the MHS Boys’ Golf team.
