  • Mundelein’s Village Administrator Announces Retirement

    After more than 35 years of public service, Village of Mundelein Administrator, John Lobaito has announced plans to retire in 2020.

    In a written statement sent to Mayor Steve Lentz, the Board of Trustees, and Department Heads, Lobaito said he would retire as of June, 2020 and announced that the search for his replacement would commence immediately. Mundelein has secured the services of executive search firm Gov HR USA to assist in the process and aims to appoint a new Village Administrator in mid-April 2020.

    Mundelein High School’s jazz groups will perform in a free concert to be held on January 15, in the MHS Auditorium. Featured performance groups include the Honors Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Combo. All of the musicians participating in this concert will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana during the following weekend to perform at the Purdue Jazz Festival. The concert will showcase music by Alan Baylock, Ahmad Jamal, Blue Mitchell, Maria Schneider, Don Menza, Gordon Goodwin, Cole Porter and others.

  • ComEd Offers Helpful Information Regarding Winter Storms

    During the winter months, ComEd closely monitors and prepares for extreme weather. Public safety is always paramount and ComEd encourages customers to be aware of how to stay safe and take the following precautions:

    o If a downed power line is spotted, immediately call ComEd at 1-800-EDISON1 (1-800-334-7661). Spanish-speaking customers should call 1-800-95-LUCES (1-800-955-8237).

    o Never approach a downed power line. Always assume a power line is energized and extremely dangerous.

  • On-Street Winter Parking Restrictions—Important Reminders

    In anticipation of the impending snowstorm this weekend, Mundelein Public Works reminds residents of the Village’s winter parking restrictions. During winter storm events that exceed two inches, Mundelein restricts on-street parking. (Village Code-Chapter 10, Art. II). Vehicles found in violation of the ordinance can be ticketed and may be towed.

  • Sanitary Sewer Work to Take Place on Select Streets
