Purpose and Function

The Finance Department works to assure the safety and professional management of government financial resources by identifying, developing, reporting and advancing fiscal strategies, policies and practices for the public benefit. The department also adheres to legal, moral, and professional standards of conduct and practice.
The department prepares and keeps all of the Village of Mundelein’s financial records and works to ensure the Village’s fiscal resources are used in an efficient and effective manner, consistent with the policies set by the Mayor and Village Administrator.
